Hearing Checks and Assessments
Hearing Check: £60.00 (offered with every wax removal)
Hearing and Communication Assessment: £95.00
Having a hearing test should be part of everyone’s regular health routine. Catching any issues early means you can take steps to protect your hearing and stay on top of your overall wellbeing.
Our Hearing Check takes around 20 minutes. During this time, we’ll assess key frequencies and take a look inside your ears to ensure everything is in good shape. For those who need a more detailed evaluation, we offer a Hearing and Communication Assessment. This 90-minute appointment gives you the chance to discuss how any hearing or communication challenges might be affecting your day-to-day life. We’ll also consider your medical history to provide tailored advice for maintaining excellent hearing health.

Do I Need a Hearing Test?
Ask yourself these questions:
- Do you struggle to follow conversations in noisy places?
- Do people often need to repeat themselves, or do sounds seem muffled or unclear?
- Are you constantly turning up the TV or radio but still missing parts of what’s being said?
- Do social gatherings leave you feeling drained because of the noise and difficulty hearing?
- Do you feel tired or stressed after listening to something for a long time, like watching a film?
- Have you started avoiding social situations because it’s harder to hear in noisy environments?
- Have friends or family asked if you’re hearing okay?
If you’ve answered yes to two or more of these questions, it’s a good idea to book an appointment with us for a thorough hearing test.
What Happens Next?
We’ll provide your results straight away and explain them in detail. Then, we can have a chat about potential solutions, taking into account your needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
If hearing aids are recommended, we can arrange a trial so you can experience the benefits of modern hearing technology for yourself. You’ll be amazed at how much they can enhance your daily life – and you might just realise what you’ve been missing out on!

Where you aware that?
Hearing loss can have a significant impact on your life in a variety of ways:
Communication: Struggling to hear clearly can make it harder to stay connected and communicate effectively. This often leads to challenges in following conversations, especially in noisy environments, leaving you feeling exhausted and frustrated.
Engaging with Others: Untreated hearing loss can make it difficult to join in community activities or social gatherings. Over time, this can make it harder to stay active and involved in your community.
Health Risks: Research has shown a link between untreated hearing loss and cognitive decline, as well as an increased risk of dementia. Addressing hearing issues early can help protect your long-term health.
General Happiness: Hearing loss can sometimes lead to feelings of isolation, which may contribute to mental health concerns like depression or loneliness.
Even everyday activities like watching television, listening to the radio, or using the telephone can become challenging when hearing difficulties arise.
The good news is that taking steps to address hearing loss—whether through hearing aids, treatments, or other interventions—can make a world of difference. By improving your hearing, you can enhance your quality of life, stay connected with loved ones, and enjoy a happier, healthier future.
